Spoiler Alert:
So far, this has to be my favorite episode of this Steven Bomb! Centipeetle gets partially (though not completely) restored, and we get to see a great moment with them. Personally I didn't think it would be that easy to revert her to her former self, and I was right. She's still partially monster-like, and her monster form started to return again when she started having callbacks. Poor thing.
Well I guess that's why they can't restore the others yet. It's mostly mental damage, not physical damage. At least now we have a better idea of how they became Monster Gems.
Also, thankfully, this does not ruin anything I had with my one Gemsona, Epidote. In fact, it actually gives me more ideas for her! |

Centipeetle was commanded to fight against the rebels with her crew. When she's retreating by command, three diamonds and a white light happen. I'm guessing that's what caused her corruption. Something tore her mentality, but why?

Something tore her mentality, but why? Maybe it was the three Diamonds fusing into one, and it creates something of unimaginable power and literally drove whatever looked upon them insane. |

After some breaking down, this is why I think centipeetle was corrupted by her own team.
In centipeetle's story, there is a call for everyone to retreat. As she's leaving, she gets separated from her crew, and is left behind. Centipeetle makes it eventually and her crew is waiting on her.
Everyone is probably in their ships by now. The diamonds don't have time. They zap the rebels before they leave, and centipeetle gets caught in the middle with her crew.

I'm also glad that she didn't meet up with Peridot at all. I bet she'd be pissed if she knew about what Peridot did to her ship.
